A rose from my garden

I have never been a big rose person. I mean, they are pretty , but the idea of having them in my yard never appealed to me. Until 2 years ago when Leroy asked me what I wanted for Mother’s day. “A rose bush.” I surprised myself when I said that!

But now I have this beautiful rose bush – two now, actually – and I cut this one off yesterday as a bud and it bloomed overnight… If it weren’t for my ridiculous allergies, I would smell it all the time!
