Have you ever done the 4th of July at the beach? It is outrageous! Hours and hours of constant fireworks all down the beach as far as the eye can see. Check out this lucky exposure!!

It was awesome. Leroy wants to make it an annual thing – which is a fun idea! It was fun to try and capture the light show.

Nate is always doing something – this is his dog Pongo who reappears intermittently after being lost (as much of Nate’s stuff is)… but he is a favorite. I thought the accidental sign bombing in the back was hysterical!

On a 1/2 sad 1/2 exciting note, Erica is gone all week at camp. She is gonna have a blast but a house without Erica is… less orderly and much less fun. She is pretty awesome. Her and Ellie will barely have time to miss us at all… horseback riding, photo classes, zip lines… oh yeah. And it is supposed to be beautiful all week!

Ryan is a talented musician. All the kids do SO well at piano, but at the last lesson, Miss Kathy pulls me aside and says, “I hope it is okay, but I need to let Ryan play a song by ear. He is SO good at it and I am concerned that by pushing him too much to read the music, we are frustrating him.” Music just flows out of him.

And on a final note – tonight I was spurring Amanda to clean up her expanse of toys – urgently clapping down from 10 to get her to get it done. She really just wants to do it on her own timeline (which is never). She FINALLY sped it up and got it done and as she grabbed the basket to take it upstairs, she says with a massive sigh, “Well, that was disturbing.”

Whatever. She is so random.
