After some frustrating attempts at Phonics in the fall and at the first of the year, we took a break from (formally) learning to read. But she has recently decided that she is ready – and she is randomly being able to read words without really trying. So we are back into it. She has most of her sounds down, but regularly forgets some of them (different ones every time). So I made cards to go with each letter, and we are walking them out.
Perhaps she will be reading by the summer??? I am not in any hurry – but it sure would be nice to have all readers. School gets SO much easier when they can read!!!
