New Vehicle

Our Van died. We were on our way to Lowen Family camp when it happened. We got it fixed but the mechanic said it wouldnt last us long and we should start shopping. Erica had to grieve the loss of this van - she came to me crying that she had dreamed that she would learn to drive in this van... and saw herself getting to sit in the front seat with me when she turned 12... Taking pictures calmed her down - now she would have something to remember it by. We took MANY more, but I will spare you. Oh my. But it had to go. 99,600 miles on it. We ended up with this.
Now I will admit that this Ford Series has has been one of my favorites for a long time. But driving it is another thing. It is HUGE!!! But we have a dear friend who is a car salesman and he gave us an offer we couldn't refuse and that we wouldn't have been able to get a Minivan with. So here we are. I miss being a mini-van family. I liked that image. Now it seems that we are trying to be something other than we are with this very large and conspicuous vehicle. My dad called it "conspicuous consumption". True - only 12 miles to the gallon.

Ryan named it - "Big Red".

Oh and we realized after the fact that we got the van when Erica was 4 months old - and now Mandy is 4 months old. Weird correlation.
