Ryan's ears

Didn't I just do a post titled "Erica's Ears"?

Well I took Ryan in to the ENT because our reg Doc was concerned with the accumulation of wet wax and goo in his left ear. The PA comes in and looks in his 'good' right ear and goes - "Oh my". So after she cleaned out his left ear with a tiny vacuum, she tells me that that one looked fine once she got it all clear. "But the right ear....." Apparently his ear drum is so retracted that it has adhered itself to the inner ear. She said that 99.9% of the time, the retraction solves itself, but it hasn't and if this isn't rectified, he is at risk for an equally rare tumor. YIPPEE!! What is the deal????

So he will be getting a tube in that ear in a few weeks - we just started a new insurance policy with a new deductible - higher...

So goes the medical saga of my children...
