Because I don't feel like getting up and getting the card to my camera to see if there is a picture for me to post (I don't know that there is anyway...) I will post about a field trip that the kids went on with Grandma Reenie before she went to warmer weather!
Grandma worked at the Senate for all of her career, so the Governors Mansion and Capitol campus is a familiar stomping ground for her. She had been talking about taking the kids for a while - finally we got it to work.
They had a great time! They came home with an armload of brochures and coloring books and lots of information about Washington State. There is still much conversation about the state birds and plants and other random facts for any state they come across. We already had a book about the different State birds and such so they use that to quiz each other.
They look so official here - straight off a postcard.
These two are good friends...
The guy running the tour said that they don't usually have kids this time of the day - looks like he had more than just my two that day!

All in all, it was a nice time for them. They still talk about it every once in a while. Partly because Nathan colored on both their coloring books and they are still ticked off about it and ask when we can go back to get new ones that they can keep from Nathan.
Oh and Grandma Reenie - You are going to have to take the kids again and this time, get someone to take a picture of you WITH the kids!
